LAFAYETTE WOMEN’S CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOLD
2^nd CAJUN MATCH GAME EVENT 8/5/22 6pm to 9:00 pm
AT THE LAFAYETTE SCIENCE MUSEUM DOWNTOWN

July 4, 2022:  Debbey Ryan, Founder and President of the Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce announced that their Signature Event and fundraiser Cajun Match Game will return on August 5, 2022. This event will be from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Lafayette Science Museum. The Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit 501(c)6 non-profit business organization and also has the Lafayette Women’s Foundation, a 501(c)3 that is under development for future scholarships for young women in high school, college, and career advancement activities.

The event is the first of its kind locally. A take-off on the 70’s Game Show Match Game and the current ABC Game Show with Alec Baldwin, Match Game, this version is a twist on the original show to be locally relevant, funny, and entertaining. There will be two rounds with an intermission between rounds.

Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer:

Dr. Brian Campbell - Dr. Campbell is an Associate Professor of Bio-Mechanics at the School of Kinesiology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He donates his spare time to hosting and participating in many Acadiana Non-Profit and Charitable events and is a past winner of the 2013 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man of the year and the 2022 UL Sun Belt Professor of the Year.

Celebrity Panelists include:

C.J. Clements - Brand Manager/Morning Show Host on 99.9 KTDY, famously known for the wildly popular Polyester Power Hour held every Friday morning on 99.9 KTDY. He is a UL Alumni, has donated his time to countless charities and non-profits over the years, has won numerous awards for broadcasting excellence, and has a love of game shows. The thing he is most proud of is his children. They are his world. 

Karli Sherman – Karli Sherman Productions, Karli is a nationally-renowned speaker, leadership coach, and executive coach. She is an alum of Florida State University (Master's in Higher Education & Student Affairs, 2013), the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

She is a graduate of the Leadership Lafayette Class XXXIII, and of the Peer-to-Peer Roundtable cohort for entrepreneurs hosted by the Small and Emerging Business Development program. Involved with pageants for 20+ years, Karli is the reigning Ms. Louisiana World Universal. She is a part-time actor and curvy model as well.

Kimi Hargrave – Kimi is the owner of Cajun Bug Exterminating Companies and a Member of the Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Kimi participates in several Mardi Gras Krewes: The Krewe of Rio, Xanadu. Bonaparte and Krewe Des Amie. She is highly active in the community, Kimi was appointed, and served on the LED CEO Roundtable and served as a Director on the Board of the BBB of Acadiana. She was the first female President of the Acadiana Pest Control Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Pest Control Association. Additionally, she has won several awards as an Executive for Estee Lauder companies.

Dr. Vincent G. June - Chancellor of South Louisiana Community College and a Member of the Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. William “Brad” Roth - with Southern Urology and a Corporate Member of the Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Our cast of Celebrity Contestants are:

Michele Landry – Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and owner of The Aesthetic Boutique Luxury Med Spa. Michele is well known for her community involvement including many Mardi Gras Krewes. She serves on the board for the Krewe of Rio as Royalty Chair, participates in several committees for the Krewe of Xanadu, and enjoys all that the Krewe of Bonaparte has to offer. She is a founding member of the Lafayette Women's Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Board of Directors as the Secretary.

And what is a game show without Celebrity Contestants? Boring so we are bringing you some entertaining characters to interact with our Celebrity Panelists! 

Tremika Cleary - Engagement Specialist and owner of Defined Resolutions where their motto is “Promote the Power of Mindful Practices.” She is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Yvette Lorentz Ferrari - a local marketing consultant and Member of the Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Ed Hannie - the owner of Priority Access Urgent Care and a Member of the Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

 Jeffery Wright – has been the Managing Partner of Bonefish Grill for 8 ½ years. In 2016 he won the President's Club and is a manager and managing partner trainer as well as a ServSafe food handling processor. In 2020 he won the Easy 5 Lottery and is a Founding Corporate Member of the Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets for this event go on sale Monday, July 4, 2022, at noon and will be available for purchase exclusively on our website at www.lafayettewomenschamber.org/our-events/cajun-match-game-2022-friday-august-5-2022-at-the-lafayette-science-museum. Ticket prices are $60 per person in advance and there is no payment at the door available, we expect to sell out due to high requests on our waiting list. Upon arrival, guests will be served complimentary champagne and then escorted to the Pre-Show Hospitality Suite. Here you will find a photo booth to have a photo to take with you as a memento of the occasion and there will be complimentary food to enjoy from local area restaurants. There will also be a cash bar. After enjoying the local flavor and cocktails guests can browse the silent auction area to make bids on some amazing items, buy a “cork” for our first cork pull and grab a delicious bottle of wine valued at $10 or more (there will be some good ones to hunt for), and they can purchase a chance to win the Doug Ashy Wheelbarrow of Libations (adult beverages) that will be loaded with wine, beer, spirits, bar accessories and all kinds of fun things. During intermission, there will be a limited live auction and a small presentation from the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Nanette Lavergne, and also from The President, Debbey Ryan providing information on where the Women’s Chamber was, is, and is looking to grow in the future.
